CFUW encourages its members to use their expertise to bring about change, with particular reference to women’s issues at home and abroad, such as violence against women, early learning and child care, education, the environment, health and well-being, peace, aboriginal issues, social justice and human rights which align with CFUW’s mission and vision.
CFUW campaigns for change through policy development and resolutions.
CFUW policies or resolutions are motivated by the interests and passions of our members and are developed from extensive research and consultation. These resolutions which are reviewed and amended through a national consultation process with local CFUW clubs are voted on at our Annual General Meeting and guide the organization’s advocacy and action.
CFUW National office communicates the resolutions to the Government of Canada.
